Screen Chair

The project sought to reflect on the quality of distance communications by placing them in a physical space outside a computer screen. In 1999, online conversations were not common. A real-time recording and projection system made it possible to have virtual conversations in a close and welcoming environment. Two Jacobsen-style chairs covered with white foam covers made it possible to sit comfortably and enjoy an intimate conversation from a distance.
