Mamori Lab

Mamori Art Lab (Malab) is an art laboratory in the Amazon rain forest. During the summer months since 2005 creative workshops in photography, design, sound and architecture have been held there. The aim of these workshops is to promote and facilitate cultural exchange between the participants and the locals of Lake Mamori through the processes of creation and reflection.
Due to the lack of local administration in the area, it is not possible to distribute post or maintain effective contact with the local governmental institutions. The workshop proposed to name and signpost the settlings around the Mamori Lake. Martín Azúa 2007
