Barcelon World Race

For the Barcelona World Race, we proposed a monolithic-ship which is an abstraction of a boat as would be perceived on the horizon. It is maintained upright by a water counterweight that is filled and emptied in the opening and closing ceremonies of the event. The monolith is installed on top of a platform composing of different coloured glass surfaces that reflect the sky, representing the seas that the boats will cross during the race.
